When can you bring your child in for the first check up? Why is it important?
Per the American Pediatric Dental Association, establishing a dental home for your child when the first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday can help prevent dental problems.

Jr. Surfclub is a fun and rewarding program that encourages patients between the ages of 7 and 18 to get actively involved in receiving proper oral growth guidance which leads them into their orthodontic treatment. Members have special access to contests, events, gear and so much more!
Dr. Scott Pyo, born and raised in Redlands, CA attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. After graduation, Scott completed a Graduate Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital, Connecticut where he trained with specialists in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontology, restorative dentistry and the operating room. He then practiced public health dentistry for two years in Willimantic, CT. It was there he decided Pediatric Dentistry was his calling.
Scott trained as a Pediatric Dental Resident at Children’s Medical Center of Connecticut and The University of Connecticut satellite dental clinics. Scott’s clinical expertise comprises of interceptive orthodontics, sedation dentistry, operating room, emergency call/trauma, cranio-facial disorders, and infant oral health. Dr. “Scott” is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Scott loves to cook and is an avid foodie. He also enjoys time outdoors, watching and discussing sports. Dr. Scott is happy to be back in his home state!
Dr. Karmjit Kaur Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Karmjit Kaur was born and raised in India. She finished her bachelor's in dental surgery (B.D.S) in India in 2002. After practicing for a couple of years, she moved to the U.S in 2006. Dr. Kaur received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UCSF. After graduating from dental school she started working exclusively with kids.
When not in the office she enjoys spending time outdoors, long walks, gardening, reading, and exploring new places.
